The House of the Dead - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

At last…
When I started this book it seemed catchy. It was interesting how Dostoyevsky described life in jail. He didn’t give so much importance to the crimes committed. Rather, he was writing about life in jail and how prisoners arrived there. So far so good. The problem is that this book goes nowhere. At some point it becomes boring to read about what’s happening. So it was difficult to finish it.

I would have liked to elaborate more, but most my ideas vanished as I took a long (regrettable) break from reading.
